The Paris Police Department released more details Tuesday about a teenager shot Friday night during a car chase with two adults in Henry County.
The teenager was part of a group leaving a local store together Friday night when one of them made a comment about a vehicle a couple was driving.
After hearing the comment, the man, confronted the group of teens who then got into their truck to leave. The teens ended up behind the couple’s car as both traveled down Memorial Drive.
After the teen’s truck passed the car, a shot was fired from the couple’s car, striking one of the teenagers in the left forearm. The teenager was admitted to West Tennessee Healthcare in Henry County Hospital for treatment.
The couple, Tomaz Washum and Sara Glisson, are both charged with five counts of Felony Reckless Endangerment and set for a 50,000 bond in Henry County jail.
Their court date is set for Thursday.
