Channel 6 reports, The Marshall County Fiscal Court is seeking just under million dollars in grant funding to renovate the county’s senior citizens center building, which has been closed since 2020.
The project would be a complete renovation of the facility, including the addition of a commercial kitchen, updated restrooms, roof repairs, heating and cooling updates and new lighting and paint.
The project is expected to cost approximately $1.4 million while the lower estimates were around a million dollars with the court covering just over $400,000.
