Multiple Fights and Disturbances Disrupt Obion County Fair on Saturday Night

Multiple law enforcement agencies and officers were called to responded to the Obion County Fair on Saturday night.

Officials with the Obion County Sheriff’s Office and Union City Police Department confirmed multiple fights took place at the fairgrounds, involving both juveniles and adults.

Some people were detained because of the fights, and a minor injury was reported to an Obion County Sheriff’s Office deputy.

Officers were also informed of the report of a possible firearm, along with someone using pepper-spray on fair goers.

Officers from the Sheriff’s Office, Union City Police Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol were on the scene after fights began on the Midway, which later moved to the front of the fairgrounds.

No arrests were made according to police officials.
