The Tennessee Department of Transportation will assist travelers for the Labor Day holiday period.
TDOT Commissioner Will Reid said construction crews will stop all lane closure activity at noon on Friday.
The closure will remain in place until 6:00 on Tuesday morning.
Commissioner Reid said halting lane closures provides maximum roadway capacity, which leads to quicker and safer travel for motorists.
Triple-A says Saturday is expected to be the busiest travel day of the Labor Day weekend.
