Kentucky State Police are now taking applications for candidates for Cadet Class 107.
State Police are now offering increased starting salaries for sworn officers, with compensation starting at $69,500 with a competitive hybrid retirement system.
Cadets with a prior law enforcement background will undergo an intensive 24 week training period, which consists of over 1,000 hours of classroom and field study.
Training will include criminal investigation, high speed pursuits, traffic laws and constitutional law.
Cadet Class 107 will begin in May of 2026, with an applicant deadline of December 5th.
Candidates selected for hiring from the Post 1 Mayfield area will receive guaranteed assignments to their home post.
