Some farmers in Western Kentucky have started shelling some of their corn crops.
Fulton County Agriculture Extension agent Ben Rudy told Thunderbolt News about the start of combines in the fields.(AUDIO)
Rudy said the actual harvesting was about two weeks earlier than usual, as it was last season.
Many farmers in the area are still in need of some rainfall, to help with later planted soybeans.
