
The first half play of Alabama starting quarterback Ty Simpson helped guide the Crimson Tide to their first win of the year on Saturday night.
The former Westview standout connected on 17-of-17 passes for three touchdowns, as (1-1) Alabama defeated Louisiana-Monroe 73-0.
Simpson also scored on an eight-yard run in the first half, and had a pass and another rushing touchdown nullified by penalties.
Simpson threw for 226 yards in the game.
The Crimson Tide will now host Wisconsin on Saturday.
