Kentucky State Police at Post 1 Mayfield has a new Post Commander.
Captain Joey Adams, a 26 year veteran of the agency, has taken the position.
Adams is a native of Carlisle County, who began his career as a Trooper in July of 1999 at Post 8 Morehead.
He moved to Post 1 in 2001, where he remained for 17 years.
During his time with Kentucky State Police, Captain Adams has held the ranks and titles of Trooper, Detective, Squad Sergeant and Administrative Sergeant at Post 1.
Before beginning his career with KSP, Captain Adams also served a combined 5 years with the Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office and Paducah Police Department.
