The University of Tennessee-Martin will host Severe Weather Awareness Day on Saturday, September 27 from 1-4 pm in the Duncan Ballroom of the Boling University Center.
The event, organized by UTM Meteorology, is designed to help the community learn how to stay safe when severe weather strikes, from understanding the difference between watches and warnings to preparing for tornadoes and other dangerous weather that comes in contact with the Ken-Tenn area.
Attendees will gain valuable knowledge about weather safety, and get a chance to meet professionals in the meteorology field.
