Union City High School recently held their annual College and Career Fair Day.
School Communications Director Mike Hutchens said nearly 50 vendors were on hand to answer questions and showcase their opportunities to the high school students.
Representatives from several Southeastern Conference schools, as well as UT Martin, Union University, Dyersburg State and TCAT were in attendance.
High School Career Counselor Lisa Carson said the day promotes networking, and allows many students the opportunity to learn about options they did not know existed.
By allowing freshmen and sophomores to attend the event, Ms. Carson said the early exposure helps them prepare for their path following high school graduation.
The College and Career Fair Day also included nearly 20 local and area businesses to promote opportunities for the students.
