An arraignment was held Wednesday afternoon for an Obion County woman charged with first degree murder.
68 year old Gloria Ann Jenkins was arrested Tuesday following the shooting death of her husband, 71 year old Paul Jenkins.
Gloria Jenkins called 911 around 12:45 Tuesday morning, stating she had shot her husband at their home on Warren Road in Rives.
When officers with the Obion County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene, Paul Jenkins was reported as deceased.
Mrs. Jenkins appeared by video to General Sessions Judge Jimmy Smith at the Obion County Courthouse.
Judge Smith spoke to Mrs. Jenkins about the families plan to hire an attorney, or the use of the public defender’s office.
Judge Smith then set a preliminary court date.(AUDIO)
The Obion County Sheriff’s Office says an investigation is still ongoing.
