An Obion County woman has been charged with murder following the fatal shooting of her husband on Tuesday.
Obion County Sheriff’s Office reports said officers responded to a 911 call around 12:45 from a residence outside of Rives.
Reports said Gloria Ann Jenkins reported she had shot her husband, Paul Jenkins, at their home.
Deputies arrived at the location to find Paul Jenkins deceased, with Gloria Jenkins taken into custody.
Gloria Jenkins has been charged with first degree murder with an arraignment held Wednesday afternoon at the Obion County Courthouse.
Sheriff’s reports said family members have raised allegations of prior domestic issues, however, no formal reports of domestic abuse involving the deceased has been documented with law enforcement.
The Obion County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation with a thorough and impartial examination of the circumstances surrounding the incident.
