A new report has revealed some of the deadliest stretches of road in the state of Tennessee. “The deadliest road stretch in Tennessee is on I-24, running from near the Nashville International Airport toward central Nashville.
Data from the Fatality Analysis Reporting System focused on fatal crashes from 2019 to 2023 and found, I-24 in Nashville along with I -65 in Nashville and 240 in Memphis.
The report ranked the following 10-mile road stretches in the Volunteer State as the deadliest which includes
- I- 24 in Nashville
- I- 65 in Nashville
- I- 240 in Memphis
- I- 40 in Knoxville and
- I- 40 in Memphis
The report stated this segment recorded 35 fatal crashes over the five year study period.
