A Missouri woman was sentenced in Memphis Federal court to over four years in prison yesterday for trying to auction off Elvis Presley’s Graceland home in a foreclosure sale.
54 year- old Lisa Findley falsely claimed Elvis’s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, borrowed $3.8 million and pledged Graceland as collateral for the loan.
Findley then threatened to sell Graceland to the highest bidder if Presley’s family didn’t pay a $2.85 million settlement. A judge stopped the sale after Presley’s granddaughter sued.
Findley pleaded guilty in February to a charge of mail fraud related to the scheme.
