
A property bond was approved in Obion County General Sessions Court on Thursday for the release of 68 year old Gloria Ann Jenkins, of Rives.
Mrs. Jenkins has been held in the Obion County Jail on charges of first degree murder, following the shooting death of her husband, 71 year old pastor Paul Jenkins.
On September 16th, a 911 call to the Jenkins home in Rives resulted in Obion County Sheriff’s deputies and investigators finding Paul Jenkins deceased.
Obion County Sheriff’s reports indicated Gloria Jenkins made the call stating she had shot her husband.
In General Sessions Court in front of Judge Jimmy Smith, a preliminary hearing for Mrs. Jenkins was pushed back to October 23rd, with a bond hearing then held.
During the bond hearing, questions concerning character and past history of Mrs. Jenkins was asked by Public Defender Bill Randolph, with three of the Jenkins children called to the stand to respond.
When considering a bond amount, Assistant District Attorney Frankie Stanfill addressed the court.(AUDIO)
Judge Smith also gave Paul Jenkins family the opportunity to speak on the possible bond, with his sister, Sherry, giving approval.(AUDIO)

Upon release, Mrs. Jenkins will be allowed to travel for medical, counseling and attorney appointments.
Funeral services for Paul Jenkins will take place Saturday at 1:00 at Miles Church in Martin, where he served as the pastor for 14 years.
