The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is planning nighttime lane restrictions along Interstate 24 in Marshall County, starting Monday.
The work zone spans from the Exit 27/U.S. 62 (Kentucky Dam) interchange to the I-24 Tennessee River Bridge.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction during nighttime hours, from 6pm to 6 a.m. the entire week with a reduced speed limit of 55mph.
Motorists are urged to slow down, stay alert, and use extra caution where workers and equipment are in the roadway near traffic flow.
Jim Smith Contracting is the primary contractor for this $10.14 million highway improvement project, which is expected to be completed in its entirety by September 4th of 2026.
