A Paducah man was arrested Monday following a threat to the McCracken County Courthouse.
At approximately 10:30, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was alerted of a male that made a threat to take a gun to the Courthouse and start shooting people.
Security at the Courthouse was immediately heightened and detectives began an investigation.
Sheriff’s reports said detectives located and interviewed Richie Byassee, with evidence located of threats made by telephone.
He was arrested on a charge of second degree terroristic threatening.
Byassee was out of jail on bond for driving under the influence, assault and wanton endangerment.
