The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting a sobriety roadside checkpoint in Obion County this week.
Troopers will hold the checkpoint Friday on U.S.45 West, near the Obion River bridge.
During the checkpoint, Troopers will be checking motorists for the possibility of individuals operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Troopers will also take corrective actions for other violations that are observed.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol uses checkpoints as a battle against impaired driving, which kills over 16,000 people and causes over 300,000 injuries each year.
