The Mayfield Cardinals are currently the winningest high school football program in the state of Kentucky.
Mayfield’s 52-0 win Friday night over Caldwell County gave the Cardinals win number 962.
The win also placed the Cardinals as the third winningest high school football program in the nation.
Mayfield is currently (6-1) on the year in Class-2A.
They lead all Class-2A teams this season in scoring with 327 points, and are second in points allowed with 72.
As a football program, the Cardinals have captured 13 KHSAA State Championships, while also receiving 13 State Runner-up trophies.
