UT Martin’s 125th anniversary celebration will begin this weekend at UT Martin.
Associate Vice Chancellor for Alumni Relations and Giving Dr. Jackie Johnson tells us more about what to expect throughout the celebration.
UT Martin was established in 1900 as the Hall-Moody Institute, with the cornerstone of the administration building being laid on October 2nd of that year. The first classes were held on September 2, 1901.
A special book commemorating the university’s 125th anniversary is on sale now and will be available throughout Homecoming Week.
The opening ceremony will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, in Watkins Auditorium in the Boling University Center, and is open to the public.
