Fort Campbell will play football this Friday night following a week off because of the government shut down.
Congressman John Rose and others got a message to the President regarding the military school at the base was shut down.
Rose learned schools, including Fort Campbell, were scaled back as a result of the lapse in funding. The shut down halted sporting events and extracurricular activities.
Rose said “Politics shouldn’t stand in the way of high school athletics—especially when those schools are made up of students whose parents serve our country.
