
The Fulton County Coroner’s Office has announced a DNA match to remains found in the city limits of Hickman.
Forensic experts announced a match in DNA samples obtained from recently recovered bones discovered on September 14th in a rural part of the city.
The DNA samples indicates the remains are those of Nicky Avent, who was the subject of a missing persons case in Hickman.
Hickman Police reports said Avent was last seen in the city on February 23rd.
According to the medical examiner, there were no signs of foul play on the remains that were submitted.
The Hickman Police Department is now focusing their efforts on reconstructing the events leading up to the disappearance of Avent.
