A Weakley County Constable has announced that he is stepping down from his position in District 9, which is the Dresden area.
The resignation of Constable Austin Powell was submitted Tuesday.
The Weakley County Commission will attempt to appoint someone to fill the unexpired term at the November 17th meeting.
The position ends August 31st of 2026.
