Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell, fell again Thursday in the basement of a Capitol office building in Washington, D.C.
The video appeared to show the Senator grabbing another person’s arm as he fell onto his left side. Security guards quickly helped him up as he smiled and waved to the camera.
McConnell has suffered from falls in the past, including in February of this year and in December of last year.
He was also hospitalized in March 2023 after a trip and fall incident.
Mr. McConnell announced he would not be seeking another term. He’s been in office since 1985 and is the longest serving senator in Kentucky history.
Prior to his Senate seat he was the Judge Executive of Jefferson County from 1978 until 1985.
