Wrongful Death Lawsuit for AES

A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed in Humphreys County Circuit Court against the parent company of Accute Energetic Systems (AES), in regards to the October 10th explosion.

Channel 7 reports; the suit was filed Thursday on behalf of a nine year old child whose father, Jeremy Moore, died in the explosion.

The lawsuit alleges that the company “failed to maintain a reasonably safe factory for the fabrication, storage, and handling of explosives and explosive materials.”

The lawsuit is requesting the amount awarded to plaintiff be determined by a jury and to include compensatory damages up to three million dollars and punitive damages up to nine million dollars.

A cause of the explosion has still not been determined at this time.
