Union City dropped their first match of the TSSAA State Volleyball Championship on Tuesday afternoon.
In Class-A play in Murfressboro, Gordonsville defeated Union City by the scores of 25-22, 25-13 and 25-16.
The Golden Tornadoes now drop into the Consolation bracket and will play Wednesday afternoon at 5:00.
Gibson County also dropped their first match to South Greene by scores of 25-14, 9-25, 25-10 and 25-21.
Gibson County will play Merroll Hyde in the Consolation bracket at 2:30 on Wednesday.
