Memphis Continues to Work Toward Safer Communities

Significant numbers reported from the “Memphis Safer Communities” show a strong decrease in crime in October.

Channel 3 reports approximately 1,200 arrests have been made since the Governor has sent in the task force.  Stats show homicides are down 50%; along with car theft and sexual assault are down around 60%.

Nine people have arrested for homicides, more than 500 warrants have been served, 67 missing children located and 29 juveniles arrested.  The task force is continuing to lower crime in Memphis.
