The highest honor bestowed in Obion County will be presented today during a ceremony at Discovery Park of America.
The Obion County Fall Fest Board of Directors named Art Sparks as this year’s recipient of the “Pride of Obion County”.
The prestigious honor recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, civic involvement, and an unwavering commitment to the betterment of Obion County.
Sparks has earned national and statewide recognition in his decades of service as a public accountant at Alexander Thompson Arnold Advisory LLC.
Sparks also has a long outstanding record of community service, which currently includes the Chair of the UT Martin Advisory Board, Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Board, and CEO of the Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant.
His dedication to the community also includes his service as Chair of the Obion County Joint Economic Development Corporation, President of the Union City Rotary Club, and inaugural Board of Director for Discovery Park of America.
In support of youth and education, Sparks also spent decades as a broadcaster for Union City High School athletics.
A large crowd is expected to attend today’s “Pride of Obion County” luncheon at noon.
No tickets will be sold at the door.
