
Jackson police have issued charges in connection with a double shooting that occurred just after 2:00 on Sunday morning.
Police were dispatched to the Jackson Bowling and Family Fun Center, where they discovered an adult male and female with gunshot wounds.
Investigations showed a verbal altercation between two males inside the business, escalated to a physical confrontation on the parking lot.
During the altercation, one of the males identified as 36 year old Dureico Deontae McKinnie retrieved a handgun and shot the two victims.
The female was transported to a Jackson hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the male was transported in critical condition.
Police have now charged McKinnie with two counts of attempted second degree murder, possession of a firearm and employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
He remains at large on the charges.
