Discovery Park of America has named a new director of safety and security.
CEO Scott Williams said Michael Reeves comes to the position with more than a decade of combined experience in public safety, emergency response and community service.
Reeves previously worked at Discovery Park as a docent and member of the special events team.
He also served five years as a firefighter first class and paramedic for the Union City Fire Department, and continues as a part-time paramedic with Ken-Tenn EMS in Fulton and Hickman.
Upon his selection for the position, Reeves will now oversee the park’s safety operations, staff training and emergency preparedness efforts, to secure a safe environment for guests, employees and volunteers.
