The Veteran’s Day Celebration Parade is tomorrow morning and events are planned throughout the day.
Following the parade, on Martin Public Library’s main stage, two Vietnam Veteran Marines, originally from Weakley County, will share their stories of being stranded for 77 days while surrounded by the North Vietnamese Army.
Board of Rolling Thunder Chairman, David Hawks gives us some background on what happened to these Purple Heart heroes while fighting for our freedom.
A luncheon will be held afterward at the American Legion Post 55 on Central Street in Martin. Veterans and their families are free and will receive a complimentary turkey.
