A Milan man has been sentenced to over eight years in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Back on February 5th Milan Police Department responded to a call for attempted robbery at Mega Mart in Milan.
Officers learned that 35 year old Fleming Williams had become upset with the store clerk because of the price of a cigarillo.
He then threatened to rob a customer in the store if he did not give him a dollar.
Williams then pulled a handgun out of his pocket and held it in his hand before leaving the store. Officers apprehended Williams at a nearby motel where he was living.
