Tennessee High School athlete, Reagan Whitledge, verbally commits to play D1 soccer at Fordham University and sets her sights on a journey of entrepreneurship and philanthropy with a new athletic brand.

Balancing the intensity of high school athletics, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy is no easy feat—but Reagan Whitledge, a junior at the University School of Jackson, has done just that.

The standout student-athlete from Martin, Tennessee, has verbally committed to play Division I soccer at Fordham University in New York while continuing to focus on a new athletic apparel brand, Futures Five-Star.

A creative force both on and off the field, Whitledge co-founded the concept of Futures Five-Star alongside her mother, Allison Whitledge, with a mission rooted in the idea of “athletes helping athletes.”

The company, which partners with Dr. Nassar Nassar and celebrity designers Paige Dennis and Fernando Wong, is launching its first line of performance wear this month at www.futuresapparel.com.

Through the Futures Foundation, the company’s nonprofit arm, Whitledge is helping build an inclusive national network of young athletes who support one another while giving back to the next generation.

The foundation is being organized to provide financial assistance and opportunity grants to student-athletes and community sports programs in need.

“Futures Five-Star isn’t just about clothes,” said Whitledge. “It’s about creating a movement where athletes support each other—on the field, in business, and in life.”

Already, more than 80 athletes nationwide have joined the company’s Futures Playmakers program, representing the brand through NIL partnerships while gaining leadership experience and learning how to build equity in a mission-driven business.

Even while leading the USJ Bruins with 24 goals and 24 assists this season—and earning All-Region honors—Whitledge has remained deeply committed to community and creativity.

Her upcoming move to Fordham University in 2027 represents the next step in what she calls “a lifelong commitment to growth, both as a player and a changemaker.” “Fordham is the perfect fit for me—it’s a place where I can pursue excellence in academics, soccer, and service,” Whitledge shared. “This journey is about more than one goal.”
