The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that covers the entire Ken-Tenn area.
The advisory will be in effect from 3:00 Monday afternoon until 6:00 on Tuesday morning, and covers West Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Southeast Missouri and East Arkansas.
Forecasters say mixed precipitation is expected, with total snow and sleet accumulations up to one-inch, and a light glaze of ice accumulation.
Weather service officials say the impacts of the winter precipitation could be slippery road conditions that could create driving problems for the evening and morning commute.
Residents are also reminded to use caution walking down steps, sidewalks and driveways, which could become slippery due to falling ice.
