Many places in the Ken-Tenn area received their first frozen precipitation of the winter season.

The National Weather Service had issued a Winter Weather Advisory on Monday, warning of the potential of snow and sleet until the morning hours of Tuesday.

Many bridges and overpasses were very slick this morning, with the Fulton County School System dismissing classes for the day.

Forecasters now say the cold snap will continue until at least Monday, with daytime highs in the 40’s and nighttime lows in the 20’s.

There is also a slight chance of snow and freezing rain on Thursday night.
