Union City police were contacted to investigate the burglary of several storage facilities.
Police reports said officers responded to East Reelfoot Avenue, where five storage buildings had been broken into behind the Variety Square.
At the scene, officers spoke with Luke Parker, who said they were in the process of notifying the renters of the burglarized units.
One of the unit renters arrived and stated someone had broke the lock to their unit and taken approximately $2,500 in detergent, toilet paper and Febreze without permission or knowledge.
Police were going to seek possible information from nearby surveillance cameras in the area to possibly identify a suspect in the case.
