The Huntingdon football team will make its first appearance in 13 years at the TSSAA State Championship Saturday when the Mustangs face the Marion County Warriors in Chattanooga.
In the semifinals last week, the Mustangs defeated the Milan Bulldogs 35-34 to advance in the tournament, and to improve to 13-1 on the season.
Marion County also improved to 13-1 on the season after defeating Eagleton Academy.
Saturday marks the first meeting between the two teams.
A win for the Mustangs would be the second time in history that the team has brought home the State Championship title, the last time being in 2003.
Kickoff will be Saturday at 2:00 at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga.
