The 13th Annual “Blue Light Hunger Fight” was successful of receiving over a thousand cans of food and over two-thousand dollars in cash to help feed those who are hungry.
Martin Police Captain Eric Reid and Thunderbolt Radio who have worked together for the past 13 years said it was another success to “fight hunger.”
Captain Reid said “some gave cash and others gave food items….totalling $2,686 in cash and 1,052 cans and non-perishables.”
Thunderbolt Radio and the Martin Police Department shared a “shout out of thank-you’s” to those who contributed during our 13th anniversary. Thunderbolt’s Robert Leyhue said “all money donated will be used to purchase food to help stock the pantry at We Care.”
