Union City police were called to investigate the theft of parts at Herman Jenkins Motors, on West Reelfoot Avenue.
Police reports said an officer spoke with an employee who reported the theft of parts from a scrap area at the business.
Police reports said two diesel converter parts valued at $1,000 were taken in the theft.
The employee said camera footage showed an individual entering the gate at almost 10:30 on the night of December 10th.
The police report stated two individuals were at the scene in a four door sedan, which appeared to be dark in color with chrome or silver wheels.
Police are still investigating the theft.
