Good news is coming to Tennesseans with the drop in gasoline prices at the pump.
GasBuddy reported average gasoline prices across the state dropped just over eleven-cents this past week.
Prices in Tennessee are now over nineteen-cents a gallon cheaper than one month ago, and almost twenty-five cents cheaper than a year ago.
The overall state average for a gallon of gasoline is $2.42, but prices are cheaper in many areas.
The lowest price recorded last week in Tennessee was $1.99 a gallon, with the highest price at $3.69
Patrick De Haan, the head of petroleum analysis for Gas Buddy, said for a fourth straight week the national average price of gasoline has declined.
De Hann said conditions remain ripe for some of the lowest seasonal gas prices in five years.
