Former Westview and Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson has officially placed his name into the upcoming NFL Draft.

The deadline for submission was on Wednesday.

Simpson had some big choices to consider after his initial announcement was made.

Three college programs, Miami, Tennessee and Ole Miss, made offers for his quarterback services with his final year of college eligibility.

According to Fox Sports, Miami offered Simpson $6.5 million dollars in NIL funds to return for another year of college, while reports indicated both Tennessee and Ole Miss made NIL offers in the range of $4-to-$4.5 million dollars.

The Tuscaloosa News reported Simpson made $800,000 after incentives at Alabama this past season.

Simpson told On3 and other outlets that he wanted to honor his time at Alabama and not be remembered as the guy who took money to leave for a rival.

Following the large NIL offers, reports said Simpson consulted with his parents and former coach Nick Saban, who advised him consider his decision without money as a primary factor.

In his only year as the starting quarterback with the Crimson Tide, Simpson passed for 3,567 yards and 28 touchdowns, and guided the team to the second round of the National College Football Playoffs.
