Union City’s Stephen Vaden was the recent guest speaker at the WAVE AG program held in Hickman.
Vaden is the current Deputy Secretary of the United States Department of Agriculture, following his appointment by President Donald Trump and confirmation by the United States Senate.
Vaden spoke on multiple agriculture and trade issues to over 100 guests at the event.
WAVE AG is a collaboration of the four river counties of Fulton, Hickman, Carlisle and Ballard.
The initiative was formed to boost local agriculture and drive economic development.
