After two weeks of deliberation over the four applicants seeking a position on the City board, the city of Martin swore in their newest Alderman at a special called meeting Tuesday night.
The board had a 3-2 vote, and Dr. Kent Kelso was chosen for the position as Ward two Alderman and sworn in by Circuit Judge Jeff Parham.
Dr. Kelso spoke with Thunderbolt news about what he looks forward to while serving on the board.
He went on to tell Thunderbolt that he desires to make a difference in the lives of city employees.
He says that he aspires to turn the city budget around in order to help employees excel.
