Congressman James Comer has announced federal funds for a Hickman County construction project.
Congressman Comer said the Consolidated Appropriations Act included just over four-million dollars to support construction of a business commerce center at the Hickman County industrial park.
Congressman Comer led efforts in Congress to secure funding for the Industrial Development Authority’s Business Commerce Building Project.
The funds will help promote local business retention and growth by providing a modern facility for businesses currently operating in deteriorating downtown structures.
This funding bill now advances to the U.S. Senate for consideration.
