The UT Martin Advisory Board had several updates at its meeting last week.

The Board announced that this year’s spring semester enrollment will see a more than 6% increase over last year.

Board chair Art Sparks of Union City also presided over his final meeting after six years in the position. Hal Bynum of Dresden will succeed Sparks as chair.

The board discussed the new College of Business Administration Building, which is projected for completion in 2029. The current building will be closed and demolished after May, and the new building will be constructed on the existing site.

Meanwhile, Browning Hall will be closed and demolished following the spring semester. A new residence hall will be built in its place with it expected to open in fall 2028.
