In game 1 of double header action, the UTM Women’s Basketball squad emerged victorious after taking an early lead and staying on top of Eastern Illinois throughout the contest.
The Skyhawks worked to get 11 points ahead in the first half, but the Panthers fought back to narrow that lead to a 27 to 22 margin for UTM going into halftime. The 2 teams remained close in the 3rd, but Eastern Illinois would falter and UTM widened the gap to win 62 to 42.

The night cap game saw the UTM Men complete the sweep of Eastern Illinois with a final score of 76-68
The first half was tightly contested and ended up knotted at 37. The second however saw many fouls and free throws attempted as the action slowed down, but the Skyhawks would ultimately claim the win.
