The National Weather Service says there is the chance the area could see some heavy rainfall this weekend.
While the storm system is still evolving, current forecasts call for good chances of rain Saturday through early Sunday afternoon.
Currently forecasters say rainfall amounts of 1.5-to-3 inches are possible during the period.
The National Weather Service has placed a 50-percent chance of showers on Saturday and 40-percent on Sunday, along with an 80-percent chance of showers and possible thunderstorms on Saturday night.
