Violence toward law enforcement officers locally and across the nation has drawn concern from a Union City Council member.
During a recent meeting, Councilman Jim Rippy questioned Police Chief Ben Yates about the increasing violence against police.(AUDIO)
Chief Yates responded with his opinion on the dangerous situation.(AUDIO)
Chief Yates also said recent actions against law enforcement officers has made recruiting for new patrolmen much more difficult.
