A major economic and tourism announcement was made for the City of Paducah this week.
Johnny Morris, the legendary angler and founder of Bass Pro Shops, announced a new store location adjacent to the Kentucky Oaks Mall.
Morris said the new Bass Pro Shops location will serve the Four Rivers region and entire Bluegrass State.
Plans call for the 70,000-square-foot location to be located along I-24 just north of the intersection of Highway 60.
The announcement said the Bass Pro Shops store plans to open late this year or early 2027.
This past month, Bass Pro Shops was named “America’s Most Trusted Outdoor Retailer” for the fifth consecutive year.
