For only the second time in UT Martin men’s basketball history, three separate players have been named an Ohio Valley Conference “Freshman of the Week” in the same season.
On Monday, Pedro Santos joined teammates Damien King and Matas Deniusas in receiving the honor this season.
With his selection, Santos also became only the 15th player in school history to receive the honor.
The 6’7” 200-pound guard from Portugal averaged 12-points, four steals, three rebounds and two assists in a win at SIU-Edwardsville and one-point loss at Lindenwood.
The Skyhawks are now (20-7) on the year, and will play Southeast Missouri State at the Elam Center on Tuesday night.
